[Exclusive]: Tuere Barnes Author of Blood Shed Shares His Story

BLACK GOVERNMENT ENT was started in Valhalla county jail by two brothers going through the American raw deal as many others went through. The difference with these two was that they were not willing to sit and feel sorry for themselves in their situation. Many that have been in prison know the amount of reading material that circulates behind those walls.

The reason why these hood novels are so big, so relevant in prison is because they allow the mind to escape into another world and time. The destination depends on the content of the book. These two brothers were facing a lot of time and while their backs were against the wall in separate parts of the jail they began writing books. One called “Pushed to the Limit” the other called “Lost Garden”. One is an urban novel while the other is an action adventure novel.

Both brothers became addicted to writing as it slowly began to flow so easily. Two books turned into four until now we have more than eight books written by these two free minds. This is one of my favorite stories. I know it so well, because I lived it. My name is Yusuf Barnes cofounder of B.G.E. and author of “The Lost Garden”, “Crown Of The Wicked King”,”The City Of Ra”, “City For A House Of Chandal” part 1 & part 2,and “Prince Charming”. My younger brother who I refer to as my twin (Tuere Barnes) who is still incarcerated and awaiting appeal is the other co-founder and author of “What’s It Worth”, “Pushed 2-The-Limit”,”Bloodshed” and “Pleasure Hood”.

Three of the books are currently available online Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com. Sometimes the worst situation can bring out the best in a person. I have recently been released and I am currently working on the soundtrack to “Bloodshed” the novel. It will be available online at datpiff.com and on hard copy On April 21st 2012. Music has always been my life and now I just have a better story to tell. Get the books, get the soundtrack, and get introduced to our world. Each novel is equally addictive. Ranging from erotic, to urban, to adventure, to fantasy. The Bloodshed soundtrack will have 16 tracks featuring artist such as Deuce Broadway, Doerealla, Che Valentine, Biznessf1rst, Kali Campbell, Feva Tha Don, Styles-P(of the Lox & D-Block) and of course me Semi-Auto. OUR STORY, OUR LIFE, OUR BOOKS, OUR MUSIC, OUR WORLD! B.G.E.

Peeta Pak has been bringing dancehall to ATL in great style and fashion. P.A.K. Entertainment was established in November 2008. The name P.A.K. Ent was spread throughout the Atlanta metro area rapidly through hard street promotions.

“Our motto is HARD WORK = SUCCESS. No “IFS, BUTS or MAYBES” about it. How else will one achieve success at their endeavor? The reflection of our hard work is often seen by P.A.K. Ent event flyers in various locations all over the Atlanta Metro Area and beyond.”

After hosting several parties on a smaller scale in 2008 P.A.K. Ent formed a fan base and decided to host events of a larger capacity in 2009. In February 2009, he hosted his first large scale event in Oraccabessa, Jamaica with popular Jamaican Sound Systems, such as SWATCH and BASS ODYSSEY. Then in April 2009, he collaborated with Promoter Baby Wayne for YELLOW & WHITE AFFAIR. Even though unpopular at the time, his events were largely successful.

“All attributed to our motto of HARD WORK. We took the streets of ATL by storm with promotions. Henceforth, the successful outcome. We have never looked back since then.”

Peeta Pak will be around for along time. If you have never been to a P.A.K. Ent event, you better ask somebody. I for one will be at as many events as I can.

Next upcoming event is the
Its an annual sold out event and will be held at

[Exclusive] Miller Coors Buys Rounds For Verse Simmonds

Taste, Appreciation, Prestige

T.A.P Awards 2011

The 2011 Miller Coors 2nd Annual T.A.P Awards held in Atlanta, GA celebrated the individuals and brands who made a difference in 2011, through their tireless efforts in raising the bar in customer service and innovating aspects. Hosted by V-103 radio personality Ramona Debreaux and Beer Connoisseur Magazine Dennis Byron the event leaked with over 400 Industry Professionals that didn’t mind Miller Coors picking up the tab. Out of this group emerged Verse Simmonds, who had boths hands full with a brew in one hand and his first T.A.P Award for ‘Sound of the City’. Verse Simmonds gave his thanks and then he told the ladies that he would Buy Them A Round, but Miller Coors Rep Steve Canal lets him know that Miller Coors is picking up the tab. Mrs. Terri J. Vaughn passed on drinking beer, but elegantly took home her award for “Premium Infuencer of the Year”, and told everyone to look out for her new movie “A Cross to Bear” in February 2012.

The beneficiary award went to the Atlanta Urban League of Young Professionals who throughout the year have made strides with different charitable events. ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ Chef Jason Ellis was awarded Business Visionary of the Year, his grind this year has Chef Ellis as The Chef for Atlanta’s Elite and rightfully so, he even took the liberty during the T.A.P Awards to put on a cooking display using Miller Coors products, with a southern favorite ‘Shrimp and Grits’. The T.A.P Awards was created on the premise of bringing the MillerCoors portfolio of beers, America knows and loves, to life. (Berry Weiss, Blue Moon, Coors Light, Miller Light and Peroni Italy) Incorporating a formal awards presentation honoring the brand’s top tier account holders, premium influencers, and Sound of the City award recipients, the event serves as a platform highlighting mixologist, bartenders, bar staff and influencers. Other Honorees for 2011 T.A.P Awards were “Platinum Seller of the Year”- AG Entertainment, “Sports Bar of the Year” – Dugan’s, “Restaurant/Lounge of the Year” – Do Restaurant, Co-“Promoter of the Year” – Botchey & Certified Entertainment, “Co-Promoter of the Year” – Traxx Girls, “For Raising the Bar” – The Four Corner Circle, LLC.
